Hello and welcome to the hub of all things Cromer Carnival, one of North Norfolk’s favourite annual events.
Hello and welcome to the hub of all things Cromer Carnival One of North Norfolk’s favourite annual events.
I have been photographing and reporting on Cromer Carnival for a number of years and this is where I have collected some of my photos, write ups and memories from over the years.
Colourful parades and family friendly events. People and moments that make Carnival unique. If you are here to reminisce about years past or staying current with this year’s carnival. I hope you enjoy this little glimpse of Carnival.
Please enjoy your stay. Created for NORFUKNEWS, the Cromer Carnival portal showcases photography, memories and reportage from years gone by, while also bringing you the latest news and coverage from this year’s celebrations. This Hub is not the official Cromer Carnival website. It is an independently run journalism project.
For official Carnival news, programme information, event updates and announcements, please visit the official Cromer Carnival website. NORFUKNEWS is here to celebrate, cover and share all things Cromer Carnival.
I wanted to have a place for my favourite Carnival, whose output I absolutely adore. It deserved its own space to sit alongside the official Cromer Carnival website and in some small way help promote all the amazing hard work that goes into producing one of the UK’s most successful Carnivals each year by a fantastic team of volunteers.
Reporting on Cromer Carnival has become part and parcel of my journalistic experience. After 14 years of capturing parades, visiting events, family days, and more, there’s just something about Cromer Carnival that’s really unique.
As always, NORFUKNEWS will continue covering all the usual articles, reports and stories over the coming weeks. However, while working on rebuilding, I started to recognise the need for a place where visitors could browse information, galleries, and archival material gathered over many years of covering every aspect of Carnival.
“Where can we find the photos?” is probably the question I am asked most often.
This new Hub felt like the perfect solution.
NORFUKNEWS will always remain home to the stories and news reporting, but many of the larger galleries will continue to live on andreaspictures.com, my dedicated photography website. The Hub simply helps bring everything together, making it easier for visitors to find exactly what they are looking for.
I decided to take things a step further by putting an additional domain name to good use. Having owned cromercarnival.com for several years, it seemed about time it played a role in the journey. At present, the domain acts as a simple gateway and directory, helping visitors find their way to the Cromer Carnival Hub within NORFUKNEWS.
As many of my readers will know, I enjoy sharing the journey as much as reaching the destination itself. This Hub is simply another stepping stone along the ever-expanding adventure that is NORFUKNEWS and will, I hope, prove useful to both Carnival veterans and newcomers alike. Please browse, explore and enjoy.

Motives and characters are the fundamental building blocks of any great story. It's human nature to be drawn to bad news, but storytelling is an innate gift that shines deep in our souls. Great journalism isn't just about sharing gossip, it's about uplifting and inspiring others through the power of words.
